Raj Thackrey's New Motto!

Defying police warning on making provocative speeches, MNS chief Raj Thackeray today resumed his 'war of words' against north Indians, saying he would not allow them to "destroy" the culture of Maharashtra.
Daring the government to arrest him, Raj said only Maharashtra Day should be celebrated in Maharashtra.

Raj Thackeray, head of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena on Saturday attacked the North Indians saying that he will not allow them to settle down in Maharashtra. He also hit back at Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan and Lalu Yadav, saying that they should stop making comments against him. Thackeray strongly opposed the presence of migrants from Bihar and UP in Maharashtra. He justified his comments by saying that the goons in Mumbai are from UP and not Maharashtra.

Daring the government to arrest him, Thackeray once again adversely commented on the celebration of Chhath Puja (main festival for Biharis) in the state saying only Maharashtra Day should be celebrated in the state. He also challenged Lalu saying, "Let Lalu come and do Chhath Puja outside my house. He will not go back."

Raj also justified his earlier comments on Amitabh Bachchan about his "allegiance to Uttar Pradesh", took a swipe at the actor`s wife Jaya for her comments on him (Raj). He also said that MNS would not allow Amitabh’s polio campaign in the state.

Expressing his anger at Hindi TV channels, he blamed them for making mountain out of molehill on his earlier speech against North Indians.

Earlier, the Mumbai Police had warned Thackeray of making any provocative comments against North Indians but during the rally, the MNS head just could not keep a check over his tongue.

This was the first public rally to mark MNS’ second anniversary at the Shivaji Park here. The MNS was formed after Raj Thackeray broke away with the Shiv Sena following differences with his cousins and its executive chief Uddhav Thackeray.
