PHONE REVIEW
Well, you will not find many Samsung users in India and the brand is not musch popular in mobile technology as yet in India. Ask about world consumer branding and it is one of the top phone companies. They have been constantly delivering good products but their advertising and marketing strategies were poor according to many industry experts.Samsung corrected this and thus came in their new brand ambassador AAMIR KHAN.
His first ad created new waves in the pubilc and Samsung Beat 450 is seeing more enquiries than this dealer. The phone is priced at Rs 13,450/- at Mumbai and is very competitive with the Nokia N-Series. The phone comes in attractive and safe packing better compared to Nokia phones I have seen till date. The last Samsung phone which came in attractive packing as Beat 450 was the metal series. Beat 450 is basically a Music player phone and given the samsung's experience in mp3 players than Nokia the phone is optimistically better in producing sound.
The wheel finds a bit of toughness though as I would have liked to smooth like the Ipod.
The screen fails my expectations which were rising as I was reviewing the phone because the phone does not have the sensor to detect light and adjust brightness which is common feature on Nokia at such a price range and thus the screen is at times dull when seen in the sun.
Overall build quality is good and speakers excellent.I wasnt able to test the shielding but the thump seemd just right for me in a phone.
This tiny gadget is more a phone than a mp3 player as Samsung proposes it to the consumers but the phone ability can just be put to use considering the sheer ability of the Mp3 feature list.
The keys are choppy and of lower quality build as compared to exterior but lighting is good.Vibration feature is excellent and there is a 'silent vibration feature' which does not make the phone irritating.
Rating-4/5
One line review- Worth an option for N-Series users!
But warning-You are more likely to use it as MP3 Player than a phone due to its sheer appearance and appeal in the masses!
