सुखामागे धावता धावता विवेक पडतो गहाण
पाण्यात राहुनही माशाची मग भागत नाही तहान

स्वप्न सत्यात आणता आणता दमछाक होते खुप
वाटी - वाटीने ओतलं तरी कमीच पडतं तुप
बायका आणि पोरांसाठी चले म्हणे हा खेळ
पैसा आणून ओतेन म्हणतो, पण मागु नका वेळ

करीअर होतं जीवन, मात्र जगायचं जमेना तंत्र
बापाची ओळख मुलं सांगती, पैसा छापायचं यंत्र
चुकुन सुट्टी घेतलीच तरी स्वतः पाहुणा स्वत:च्याच घरी
दोन दिवस कौतुक होतं, नंतर डोकेदुखी सारी

मुलंच मग विचारु लागतात, बाबा अजुन का हो घरी?
त्यांचाही दोष नसतो, त्यांना सवयच नसते मुळी.
क्षणिक औदासिन्य येतं, मात्र पुन्हा सुरु होतं चक्र
करीअर - करीअर दळण दळता, स्वास्थ्य होतं वक्र

सोनेरी वेली वाढत जातात, घराभोवती चढलेल्या
आतुन मात्र मातीच्या भिंती, कधीही न सारवलेल्या
आयुष्याच्या संध्याकाळी मग एकदम जाणवु लागतं काही
धवण्याच्या हट्टापायी श्वासच मुळी घेतला नाही

सगळं काही पाहता पाहता आरशात पाहणं राहुन गेलं
सुखाची तहान भागता भागता समाधान दुर वाहुन गेलं...!

Ye dil udaas hai bahut koi paighaam hi likh do
tum apna naam na likho chalo gumnaam hi likh do
Meri kismat me gham-e-tanhai hai lekin
tamam umr na likho magar ek shaam hi likh do
Ye janta hoon ke umr bhar tanha mujhko rehna hai
magar pal do pal, ghadi do ghadi mera naam hi likh do
Chalo hum maan lete hain saza ke mustahiq thehre

pairon ke kitaron mein phir thandak bansane aati hai
jab suraj se mil kar sham suneheri ho jati hai
kuch mausam sapne lagte hain kuch mausam apne lagte hain
par dost mile tum jaisa to sub mausam sache lagte hain
zindgi ki tanha lehron mein jo dosti ke moti pirote hain
voh phoolon ki traha dil ki rahon ko mehkate hain

mana ki ham bhula nahi paate unhe ek pal ke liye
par yu roya bhi nahi jaata ek pal ke liye
mila jo yu wo milkar bichhad gaya zindgi ke liye

mana ki ye baat har kisi ko lagti hai sacchi
par har ajnabi nahi hote jamane mein bhulane ke liye
yu to khuda se jo maanga wo paya dua mein
par har dua kahan kabul hoti hai har kisi ke liye
wo aayega na lautkar fir kabhi ye jaante hain
fir bhi dil dhadkta hai aaj bhi usi ajnabi ke liye

Yaa khuda teri ibaadat me maine , kaun sa gunAh farmaya,
ke tune dil to diya lekin, andaaz -e -dillagi nahi sikhaya

Mein lafzon se kuch bhi izhaar nahi karta Iska matlab ye nahin ki mein usse pyar nahi karta Chahata hoon mein use aaj bhi par Uski soch me apna waqt bekar nahi karta Tamasha na ban jaye kahi mohabbat meri Isliye apne dard ko izhaaaar nahi karta Jo kuch mila hai usi mey khush hun mein Uskeliye khudaaaaa sey taqrar nahi karta

Par .. . .

Kuch to baat hai uski fitrat me zalim
Warna usse chahne ki khata baar-baar na karta . . . .

Lamhe judai ke bekarar karte hain,
haalat hamare hame laachar karte hain.
aankhe hamari pad lo kabhi,
ham khud kaise kahe ki aapse pyar karte hain
