This is how Bollywood has many favours! No sooner the movie is out the CD/DVD stalls are already fulling their stocks with their DVD's.Sarkar Raj Pre-DVD is out befor distributors start their calucations.I came across one such vendor at Churchgate and short interviewed him.

Rs300(Not a single paisa less!)
Preview?
Pops up a portable DVD player and shows me only the credits part
(Beacuse that's only what is currently viewable in DVD)

No,it depends upon demand.Currently Sarkar Raj is in demand.
How many copies have you sold so far?
3(It's 5.30pm and day over yet only 3 copies he says!)

Or what will we eat I have 8 people dependent upon me for food .Which profession gives such an illilterate person like me such income?
If I dont sell I dont eat and if movies are bad I bear losses upto Rs.200 per day now.
Who buys from you?
Everyone from top rank to lower rank people.
Have you ever watched a movie in a theatre?
Yes many times but DVD is good for some movies.(Even I agreed on this!)
Any regrets?
I know I am hurting the industry but if poor take little from the rich will it affect them and thus I do it because I have no other job and will be unemployed.

After this short chat I was left speechless that food thing hurt something deep inside me but at the same time I was thinking that this person at Rs300/day was earning more than a sincere average worker from Mumbai and I still felt that crime is not the way to food.At t he end of this chat the vendor asked me where he could read his interview.I laughed and gave him All Bakwaas!
I think that piracy is rising at such a high rate in India that all of us need to give a look at what we are doing but still in one corner I defended the unexplained high multiplex prices against DVDs and the very next moment saw a poster of Moser Baer DVD at Rs 49 and I said lolz this is out of me this is All Bakwaas!
